ITdigest yahoo group was started in March 2005 and since then, the number of members have been growing steadily, until it reached more than 2700 members in 2008 from all IT specializations.
The yahoo group connects between IT students in Saudi universities and specialized engineers, experts and managers working in the local IT industry. The group also attracts academic researchers as well as government officials and decision makers in the local IT sector.
The group is professionally moderated so that only authenticated messages within the scope of the group and of interest to members can be approved. Both Arabic and English messages are passed to members after classifying them into News, Events, Technology, Fun, Links, and Articles
